The three events that have had the greatest impact are The Crack Epidemic, Watts Riots and the LA riots…
The frist event that had a great impact on making South Central the way it is today is, the Crack Epidemic. the Crack Epidemic is when people started selling/ using Crack all around South Central. Families would be broken down, the rate ofl total incarcerations went up, and also daeath rates. it basically made families break up and peopel loose there sense of respect for others and themselves. it changed South Central because it was no longer beibng taken care of or respected.
The second event that had a great impact on South Central is the LA Riots. The wattz riotz started because of the verdict pof the Rodney King case Vs, the Police officers that beat him. the Verdict was ” Not Guilty”, that shocked all of south Central and a riot broke out. This changed the way (positivly) the way police bruitality was taken care of and also racism. Negativly it showed how races wasreally considered in LA.
The third event that ahd a great impact on South Central was the Wattz Riots which was stated because of a man, Marquette Frye, who was driving runk, the police stopped him and arrested him along with his mother and brither for trying to rake up for him, the commuity was furriated and a riot was started against the police. Also other reasons was because of racism and unemployment. this also changed the way employement and eacuism was taken by the police.
To me these are importanrt because this showz how South Cental isn’t taken seriously and it needs to be out out and changed. South Cental will change only if we take it and want it to change.
